A new entry to the phishing scams list today.  This is asking for credentials for a new Online Payments Processor – Stripe.com. I haven’t previously heard of this company before or seen any phishing attempts against it. However a quick Google search does bring up a very small handful of reports over the last year.  I have received 2 so far this morning from what appear to be different email addresses with exactly the same body content including  the same links, both coming from the same server.

They use email addresses and subjects that will entice a user to read the email and open the attachment. A very high proportion are being targeted at small and medium size businesses, with the hope of getting a better response than they do from consumers.
